CERAM HYD S.A. Secures Funding for it’s Hydrogen Producing Technology
CERAM HYD S.A. is pleased to announce that it has secured a round A funding commitment that will see the Corporate Venture arm of RWE Innogy the Renewable Energy Division of RWE A.G. take a minority position into the capital of Ceram Hyd.
CERAM HYD S.A. has developed a novel membrane material that has the potential to greatly reduce the cost of producing hydrogen via electrolysis. The new finances will be used to invest in a new laboratory, a prototype production facility and the first field multi kW electrolysers.
As part of this funding round, Mr Tarek Nassar will become Chairman of the Board of Ceram Hyd and Mr Arthur Mofakhami will become CTO for the company. Furthermore, Mr Brendan Bilton has been recruited as CEO to help in the commercialization of the technology and to take the company forward to field trials partnerships.
Dr Hugues Delmaire will be the Board Representative for RWE Innogy.
