Hydrogenics to Host Conference Call on Monday, July 27, 2009
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO–Hydrogenics Corporation (TSX:HYG)(NASDAQ:HYGS), a leading developer and manufacturer of hydrogen generation and fuel cell products, today announced it will host a conference call on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 10:00 am Eastern for the special meeting of holders of common shares of Hydrogenics. During this meeting, such holders will be asked to approve the proposed arrangement (the “Arrangement”) in connection with the non-dilutive financing transaction to be implemented pursuant to a support agreement among Hydrogenics, the trustees of Algonquin Power Income Fund (”Algonquin Power”), and a newly created subsidiary of Hydrogenics (”New Hydrogenics”), which was previously announced on June 12, 2009.

As a reminder, the record date for determining the holders of common shares of Hydrogenics entitled to receive notice of and to vote at the special meeting is June 23, 2009. At the special meeting, Hydrogenics shareholders will be asked to approve the Arrangement. For the Arrangement to be approved by the Hydrogenics shareholders, the resolution must be passed by at least 66 2/3% of the votes cast by shareholders, represented in person or by proxy, at the special meeting.
