Nippon Sanso eyes US$46 mln sales from hydrogen arm in 2010

NIPPON SANSO CORP. (TSE:4091) is aiming for sales of 5 billion yen (US$46 million) in fiscal 2010 from operations related to hydrogen for fuel cell vehicles. Nippon Sanso and JFE CONTAINER CO. (TSE:5907) will jointly develop a tank to transport and store hydrogen for use in fuel cell cars this fiscal year.

* The companies are planning to develop a 300-liter tank made of fiber-reinforced plastic, which will keep the container light.

* Nippon Sanso will provide the specifications, and JFE Container will produce the tank.
