Entegris, Inc. (Nasdaq:ENTG), a materials integrity management company, has announced John Goodman's election to a one-year term as the United States Fuel Cell Council (USFCC) Policy Committee Chair. Goodman also received the 2004 Executive Director Award for making significant contributions in the past year to advance the goals of the council.

Goodman has been involved in the USFCC since delivering the keynote address at a planning meeting in February 2003. He helped develop the organization's strategic framework and planning. In the past year he has served on the Executive and Policy Committees.

"Entegris' commitment to the fuel cell industry is evidenced by our leadership-level participation in organizations such as the USFCC," said Michael Wright, chief operating officer at Entegris. "During our 37-year history we have made industry involvement a priority. The lessons learned providing materials integrity management products and services to the semiconductor industry since its infancy are helping this emerging industry reach fuel cell commercialization. Advancing the technology of clean, renewable energy is directly aligned with the Entegris vision of positively affecting people's lives by enhancing technologies that are changing the world."

Entegris is making significant inroads as a leading provider of advanced fuel cell materials, components, subassemblies and value-added services designed to provide fuel cell system developers with tools to control contamination, improve reliability and lower costs. The company's compression-molded bipolar and monopolar plates are used in portable, stationary and transportation fuel cell stacks to increase stack reliability and decrease development costs. Entegris also supports fuel cell developers with fuel cell shipping packages and Balance of Plant (BOP) subassemblies.
