| CALGARY - Dynetek Industries Ltd. ("Dynetek"),
a leader in developing, producing and marketing lightweight compressed
hydrogen storage cylinders and compressed natural gas storage (CNG) cylinders,
announced today it will deliver three on-board hydrogen fuel storage systems
for fuel cell buses bound for China. Dynetek is providing the fuel storage
solution using its certified 350bar (5000psi) hydrogen fuel storage system.
"We are pleased to be collaborating again with DaimlerChrysler in helping lead the way in adoption of zero-emission fuel cell technology," said Robb Thompson, Dynetek's President and CEO. "DaimlerChrysler won the UNDP/GEF Beijing contract, formally signed at HYFORUM by China's Ministry of Science and Technology. The three fuel cell buses will be delivered to Beijing next year under the UNDP/GEF program, first announced for five countries three years ago." During HYFORUM, Professor Ouyang Minggao, director of Tsinghua University's New Energy Vehicle Center, on the "Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Platform for China's Sustainable Transportation", commented that China must not only emphasize oil demand reduction via greater efficiency, but also greater use of non-conventional resources, with hydrogen as the final solution. Hydrogen is one of the best candidates for Chinese future energy, and transportation is the most promising area, Professor Minggao further commented. Dynetek Industries Ltd. designs, produces and markets one of the lightest and most advanced fuel storage and refueling systems for compressed natural gas, low emission vehicles and compressed hydrogen, zero-emission fuel cell vehicles. Dynetek is recognized around the world for its solutions-of-choice to the alternate fuel vehicle sector, evidenced by strategic relationships with major manufacturers around the globe. Dynetek is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, symbol: DNK. ~ |
