The 2008/09 Catalog of Research Chemicals, Metals and Materials features over 30,000 products, some 3,000 of which are new.

Among the range are fuel cell components, metal fuel cell catalysts and pure metals, alloys, analytical standards and catalyst/ligand kits.

Rafi Dekermendjian, Organic and Organometallics Specialist at the firm, told azonano.com: "The new products that we offer are complementary to the products that we already had. A lot of the new products are based on feedback from our customers."

To assist understanding of the working of catalysts, Martyn Twigg, a world authority on the subject, has been enlisted to pen a new 14-page introduction to the Precious Metals and Catalysts section.

This covers everything from the history of precious metal catalysts to general catalytic requirements for industrial applications, unsupported metal catalysts, supported catalyst and homogenous catalysts.

The new edition also adds new nanotechnology products to Alfa's range, including nanoparticles and nanopowder suspensions.

The catalogue is due for release worldwide on January 2nd, with an updated company website also due next year.
