Rome--'The first power plant fuelled by hydrogen in Fusina (Venice) will produce electricity from December 2009', said Pietro Barbucci, responsible for the ENEL research and experimentation centre during a workshop on 'Coal: Zero Emissions Objective' promoted by ENEA.

'The plant situated near the industrial area of Porto Marghera will have a 12 MW capacity. The challenge is not to produce any or as least as possible nitrogen oxide'.
