 Canadian Hydrogen Association Announces New Executive Team

OTTAWA--The Canadian Hydrogen Association (CHA), Canada's voice of the Hydrogen Community, is pleased to announce that Pierre Gauthier of Air Liquide Canada has been elected to the position of Chairman of the Board. Also elected is Dr. Tapan Bose of the Hydrogen Engine Centre as Eastern Vice-Chairman and Don Fraser, Dynetek Industries, as Western Vice-Chairman. Andrei Tchouvelev of A.V. Tchouvelev & Associates is Secretary/Treasurer. The remaining Board members represent Atlantic Hydrogen, The PEI Energy Corporation., Atomic Energy of Canada, The Fairfield Group, the CSS Group, Bruce Power, the Saskatchewan Research Council, the University of
Quebec at Trois Rivieres and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

Mr. Alexander (Sandy) Stuart, former Chairman of the Board, has been given an Honorary Lifetime Membership in the CHA and the title of Chairman Emeritus. Also given an Honorary Lifetime Membership was Dr. Ron Venter, professor (retired) from the University of Toronto. Both individuals were founders of the CHA and made significant contributions to the association over the past 30 years.

The CHA also approved an organizational change. Terry Kimmel becomes the President & CEO.

The CHA advocates for a transition to a hydrogen age as a means of providing global energy security, a reduction in greenhouse gases (climate change) and a reduction in urban air pollution.
