CHICAGO, IL--American Science and Technology (AST) is proud to present its innovative High-Temperature PEM Fuel Cell system (HTPEMFC), designed and developed by a team of scientists and engineers from AST, Chicago State University (CSU), and EnerFuel Inc. This event will take place on Friday, November 30, from 2-3 PM, at the Center for Alternative Energy Technology, located at 9551 South Cottage Grove (CSU incubator building), just east of the Chicago State University Campus. During this presentation, AST will present the system’s top level design, control, and demonstrate the system’s performance.

Registration is required for attendance. Please email your name, contact information, company affiliation, and your US citizenship status to fuelcell@amsnt.com.

This HTPEMFC has demonstrated the capability of producing at least 50% more power than its conventional PEM counterparts.  The developed technology has been part of AST’s attempt to increase the conventional fuel cell’s power-to-weight density.

The HTPEMFC has been developed to eventually power small DOD robotics ground or aerial vehicles. By replacing conventional power supply systems with HTPEMFC for unmanned systems, the potentials for enhanced mission capabilities, efficiency, and ultimately, cost-savings for the DOD in war against terrorism can be achieved.

Based in Chicago , with offices in Wisconsin , South Dakota , and West Virginia , American Science and Technology is a full-service company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of products to provide cutting-edge solutions to problems with national significance.
