Acta
was delighted with the interest it received at The Grove Fuel Cell Exhibition,
which was held in London from 25-27 September 2007. The Grove is Europe's
leading fuel cell expo and was a big success for Acta, with a number of
promising customer contacts to pursue.
Acta gave a European debut to its
ammonia electrolyser as well as demonstrating its portable fuel cell catalysts.
The electrolyser demonstrated how a "power profit" can be made from combining
an ammonia electrolyser with a PEM fuel cell without the need for any other
external power input.
Footfall through the stand was very
high and the commercial team made a number of important new contacts as
well as using the event to network with existing customers and partners.
Representatives from Sumitomo Corporation were also on hand to provide
support with enquiries from Asian visitors.
Importantly, for the first time,
four companies out of around 60 exhibitors were proposing solutions which
used ammonia fuel as the practical hydrogen carrier for the fuel cell.
This underlines the growing move towards ammonia as a practical and affordable
launchpad for hydrogen fuel cells and reinforces Acta's position in this
exciting market.
