CSA America, Inc., a leading developer of standards and codes, today announced the recipients of its 2007 Awards for Outstanding Achievement. This is the first year for the CSA America Awards, which were presented to individuals, teams, divisions and corporations for exceptional service and achievement in the area of standards development. The honors were awarded by Spencer Grieco, Vice President, Standards, CSA America at a special gala during the CSA America Annual Conference in Cleveland.

"The inaugural CSA America Awards for Outstanding Achievement are presented in recognition of the immeasurable contributions made toward the development and promotion of standards," says Mr. Grieco, "The recipients in each category are owed an enormous debt of gratitude for their selfless efforts. Without their extensive knowledge, hard work, and devotion to standards development, many of the standards that impact our daily lives, contribute to the betterment of society, and advance our community well being would not exist."

HPRD1 Technical Advisory Group received the CSA America Divisional Medal award for leadership and commitment to the development of standards for hydrogen components, resulting in one of the first        hydrogen component standards.

Participants worked nationally and internationally to develop new standards for pressure relief devices;a primary safety component for compressed hydrogen vehicle fueling systems that have unique fire safety and durability requirements.
