Berlin--Heliocentris Fuel Cells AG (ISIN DE000A0HMWH7) and SMA Technologie AG will together unveil at the "f-cell" trade fair, being held in Stuttgart (24 to 26 September 2007), a photovoltaic backup installation in connection with a fuel cell system. This innovative solution provides users of a photovoltaic installation, which feeds its electricity into the public network, with a stand-alone energy supply in the event of a power failure. The system is based on the already successfully introduced Sunny backup system from SMA, which was combined with a fuel cell system from Heliocentris. SMA has for many years been the market leader in the field of photovoltaic inverters, and Heliocentris one of the leading system integrators with many years of experience with fuel cell systems.

Dr Henrik Colell, CEO of Heliocentris Fuel Cells AG, comments: "Combining the backup technology from SMA and our fuel cell solution has resulted in an energy solution which makes optimum use of the strengths of both technologies". Klaus Rupprecht, Product Manager at SMA Technologie AG adds: "Our Sunny backup system received the award for "most innovative solar product" in 2007. We are delighted that we have now instigated the next technological advance together with Heliocentris."
