--The Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition has re-elected Frank Svet, president
of the Edison Materials Technology Center, to an additional term on the
coalition's board of directors.
Svet and seven others were elected
to three-year terms on the board. They will be seated at the board's meeting
on Friday at Hocking College.
The state-backed, nonprofit Edison
center supports companies involved in fuel cell technology development
and alternative energy materials. The center works with the fuel cell coalition
to promote the growth of the manufacturing industry for fuel cells and
their components in Ohio.
As a result of that work with state
officials, California-based UltraCell Corp. has started up a manufacturing
plant for fuel cell components near Dayton International Airport. |
