Available in 3 and 5 kilowatt outputs, the ElectraGen(TM) XTi operates on HydroPlus, a fuel mixture of methanol and water chosen for its low reforming temperature, extremely low freezing temperature and industrial availability. The ElectraGen(TM) XTi system provides the 48 VDC backup power required by telecommunications networks to provide a replacement or supplement to traditional solutions such as batteries and gensets, but with significantly reduced annual maintenance.

The design of the newest IdaTech system drew from field experience with the ElectraGen(TM)5 and ElectraGen(TM)3 hydrogen systems and the technology in the ElectraGen(TM) XTR reformer module. Additionally, the ElectraGen(TM) XTi solution was developed with direct input from US and European telecommunications operators to ensure the best fit with their networks. With this product addition, IdaTech now has an exceptional range of telecom-targeted, integrated fuel cell products with 3 kWe and 5 kWe hydrogen or liquid fueled capability.
