are now being accepted for the Dr. Bernard S. Baker Award for Fuel Cell
Research. Open to currently enrolled graduate or undergraduate students
pursuing research in a fuel cell related field, the award includes a medal,
$5,000 monetary award, and complimentary registration to the Fuel Cell
Seminar & Exposition to present a poster presentation. Applications
are due August 6. The award will be announced and presented at the 2007
Fuel Cell Seminar, to be held October 15-19 in San Antonio, TX. For more

The H2U Student Design Contest is
now open. Under the theme, “Hydrogen Applications for Airports,” the contest
challenges teams of undergraduate and graduate students to develop a design
for implementing hydrogen technologies at the Columbia Airport in South
Carolina. An informational “rules review” meeting/conference call will
be held September 14. Abstracts are due October 26 and full entries are
due December 7. Winning teams will be invited to present their designs
at the NHA Annual Hydrogen Conference in Sacramento, CA, to be held March
