HOUSTON-- American Security Resources Corporation  (ARSC) announced today that its Hydra Fuel Cell Corp. subsidiary has received a purchase order for an 8 kilowatt HydraStax(R) residential fuel cell system from a waterfront resident on the Texas Gulf coast.

Bob Farr, President and COO of ARSC, stated, "This buyer lives on the coast and has experienced loss of grid power during tropical storms and other occasions. With this system he can be independent of the grid and even sell power back if he chooses. We expect to ship this system within 90 days. This is a very big sale for us." Farr continued, "The residential market is where we see our greatest sales potential. We expect this installation to demonstrate the value of fuel cells as reliable backup and primary electric sources for everyday use as well as secure power in weather emergencies."
