In partnership with a Japanese company, one contract will focus on the testing and evaluation of IdaTech's purification technologies for use in distributed hydrogen production. This award, the second recent contract with a Japanese company, is indicative of the deepening of IdaTech's relationships in that important market. The second award, in collaboration with a European military contractor, is focused on the operation of the HyPurium(TM) membrane for high-power military applications. Both contracts open the door for future awards based on IdaTech's hydrogen reformation and purification capabilities.
"Following the US$3 million award for the development program in Japan last year, these contracts further demonstrate the commercial value of IdaTech's proprietary technology beyond small scale fuel cell applications," said IdaTech president and CEO Hal Koyama. "IdaTech continues to identify high value opportunities that are synergistic with our core technology and product portfolio. We believe our broad technology position is a significant differentiator from other fuel cell companies with a more narrow range of applicability and markets."
