| Looks as if
Honda's getting ready to up the stakes in the enviro-car race.
While the company has a strong presence
in the hybrid segment - it currently sells hybrid versions of its Civic
and Accord, and its Insight was the first hybrid car on the North American
market back in 2000 - Honda officials seem confident they'll have a production
version of the FCX hydrogen fuel-cell concept ready for sale in North America
and Japan later this year.
At least, this is the word on the
Web.
But it seems credible enough: When
the car was revealed in Los Angeles last year, the company said it would
begin marketing a fuel-cell car based on the FCX in North America and Japan
in 2008.
