Cleaner power is a hot topic at the Paris airshow, and Intelligent Energy is leading the way with its range of world-class technologies. Intelligent Energy focuses on a range of fuel cell, fuel processing, desulphurisation and hydrogen generation technologies to provide cleaner power and carbon abatement.

Current partners and customers include Boeing, for whom Intelligent Energy has developed a fuel cell system to power a light aircraft. Experimental flight tests are planned for later this year of a single-seat propeller-driven aircraft powered only by a fuel cell and lightweight batteries.

Intelligent Energy’s proprietary fuel cell power systems feature high power density and performance and multifunctional low-cost components, designed for manufacturing. The result is fuel cell systems of reduced size, cost and complexity.

The company’s fuel processing and hydrogen generation platforms are fuel-flexible, providing hydrogen from a range of both conventional fossil fuel and sustainable fuel feedstocks. In 2006, Intelligent Energy was one of only 36 advanced technology companies worldwide to be named a World Economic Forum technology pioneer.
