Sochi,
which is Russia’s candidate city for 2014 Winter Olympic and Paraolympic
Games, will possibly have all its buses working on hydrogen, says “Sochi-2014”
Application Committee, which plans to sign an agreement on converting city’s
public transport to hydrogen fuel before July 2007.
The head of the city has signed the
protocol on intent on converting city’s transport to hydrogen with Dutch
ETIRC (European Technology and Investment Research Centre) company, which
will supply technologies for conversion of gasoline and diesel engines
to hydrogen, as well as for building hydrogen fuel storages and filling
stations.
Head of the ETIRC company claims
that the project of converting Sochi’s public transport to hydrogen fuel
would definitely help to keep rich flora and fauna of the Russian resort
in its primary beauty. |
