Edison (SCE) and Chevron Technology Ventures will dedicate a comprehensive
hydrogen energy station evaluation and demonstration at SCE's Rosemead
headquarters. The five-year demonstration, co-funded by the U.S. Department
of Energy, will provide valuable understanding of hydrogen's potential
for future transportation needs.

DETAILS & OTHER FACTS
The station is among the first facilities
in Southern California to fully explore the electyrolyzer process to generate
hydrogen. The station includes an advanced "power analyzing system" designed
to gather detailed systemwide energy-impact data on the entire hydrogen
production process, and a fleet of up to nine, zero-emission Hyundai-Kia
hydrogen fuel cell cars powered by UTC Power fuel cells that will be evaluated
as part of the station's operational demonstration.
TOURS & VISUALS
Visitors can drive a hydrogen fuel
cell car, see demonstrations and tour the fueling station, including a
detailed explanation of the hydrogen production process and state-of-the-art
safety systems.
