Chunlan to Set up Green Energy Research Center

NANJING--Chunlan Group, a leading manufacturer of air conditioners in China, is about to set up the Jiangsu Green Energy Research Center to push the research and development ability of green energy for Jiangsu province. The center so far has received CNY 30 million investment from the government.

Jiangsu Green Energy Research Center is scheduled to be completed by 2011, with total investment of CNY 198 million. And it will consist of centers of energy storage and transformation, hydrogen energy comprehensive application, ground energy clean application, and environment protection application.

Industry experts believe that with completion of the new center, China will further improve its ability of research and innovation in the clean energy sector.
