| SEATTLE--Hydrogen
Power, Inc. (OTCBB: HYDP- "HPI") demonstrated and elaborated their technology
to leading military and industry officials at the 2nd Annual Military Energy
Conference in Arlington, Virginia, February 20th and 21st.
HPI showed the conference participants
an HPI-developed 20-watt power unit that integrates a miniature fuel cell
with HPI's hydrogen generation technology. This device addresses the power
gap that currently handicaps the field soldier because of the increased
dependence on batteries for personal and off-grid power. The new HPI generator
will produce continuous power on-site and on-demand for low wattage use
by a simple chemical reaction of aluminum, any type of water and an environmentally
friendly catalyst. This gives the soldier an alternative portable power
source for running computers and phones and field-charging batteries, all
in close proximity to their military operations.
As a result of this presentation,
HPI has developed key contacts with representatives of US Army Research,
US Army Corps of Engineers, Office of Naval Research, and DOD contractors.
HPI expects a number of follow-up opportunities with these agencies over
the next six months.
Hydrogen Power, Inc. has licensed
and has developed a patented technology for producing hydrogen gas in a
process called Hydrogen Now(TM). Hydrogen Now involves a chemical reaction
between water, aluminum, and an environmentally friendly catalyst to cleanly
and efficiently produce hydrogen on-site and on-demand.
