| UN VALLEY,
Calif., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Harvest Energy Technology, Inc. (HET) has
been awarded a contract to deliver a 100 Nm3/h High-Pressure Steam Methane
Reformer (HPSMR) hydrogen generator to the Chinese Petroleum Corporation
(CPC) of Taiwan. The hydrogen generator will supply hydrogen for chemical
feedstock and hydrogen refueling applications. The project is being managed
by Asia Pacific Fuel Cell Technologies, Ltd. (APFCT) to assist in the development
of a metal hydride-based hydrogen refueling infrastructure to commercialize
fuel cell powered transportation vehicles in Taiwan.
HET's 35 Nm3/h HPSMR was successfully
commissioned at the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit,
Oakland, CA) hydrogen energy station during the second quarter of 2006.
The HPSMR hydrogen generator supplies hydrogen to refuel three fuel cell
buses and up to twelve fuel cell vehicles being operated at the facility.
The hydrogen energy station, designed, constructed and operated by Chevron
Hydrogen Company also includes an HET Low-Pressure Steam Methane Reformer
(LPSMR) that was commissioned by Chevron at the AC Transit facility in
late 2005. The HET LPSMR has logged over 7000 hours during operation at
AC Transit and Chevron's former Montebello Technology Center in Montebello,
CA.
HET supplied a LPSMR fuel processor
that was integrated into a hydrogen generator commissioned by Air Products
in early 2006 at Penn State University. HET supplied a LPSMR to Scandiuzzi
Advanced Technologies for integration into a hydrogen generator that was
commissioned at an industrial site during the summer of 2006. HET supplied
a HPSMR fuel processor to Hydrogenics Corporation for integration into
a hydrogen refueling station that was commissioned at the Korean Gas Technology
Corporation (KOGAS) research and development facility in Incheon in late
2006.
About Harvest Energy Technology,
Inc.
HET is a global leader in the supply
of distributed hydrogen generator technology for small industrial and hydrogen
refueling applications. HET is developing economic hydrogen generators
in the size range of 35-250 Nm3/h. HET's SMR technology is currently operating
in six hydrogen generators located around the world. The HET SMR hydrogen
generators have demonstrated reliable and robust performance after thousands
of cumulative operating hours and hundreds of planned thermal cycles.
