| BEIJING-- According to the Demonstrative Project
for Fuel Cell Bus Commercialization in China, in the first five years of
this century, the Ministry of Science and Technology has injected over
CNY 400 million into the R & D of hydro-powered automobile, and later
it will pour more investment for it, and issue the relevant preferential
policies, so as to strengthen the R&D of hydro-powered automobile.
China has already started the development and utilization of hydrogen resource. And at present Shanghai and Beijing have developed the second generation of hydro-powered sedan and bus. It is expected that some demonstrative hydro-powered automobiles will be used for transportation during 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and EXPO 2010 Shanghai. According to a professor from Peking University, by 2015 or 2020, China will possibly roll out a series of competitive hydro-powered buses and sedans. And because of the better performance of China-made hydrogen fuel cell, more than 100 kinds of such fuel cell are exported to Japan and other countries. The utilization of hydrogen resource is helpful to relieve the shortage of energy, eliminate the environmental pollution and control greenhouse effect. ~ |
