A New Energy Congress (NEC) prioritized listing of the very best energy technologies according to ten criteria, including: renewable, environmentally safe, affordable, credible, reliable, developed, and safe (among others). The New Energy Congress is an association for the purpose of reviewing the most promising claims to up-and-coming clean, renewable, affordable, reliable energy technologies, in order to come up with a weighted list of recommendations of the best technologies.
A quote from NEC founder, Sterling D. Allan, posted the following on May 27, 2006:
"I travelled down to Phoenix two years ago to view a debut of a SHEC Solar Hydrogen prototype."
"I will say that I was very impressed with the scientific rigor being pursued. They had presented some very sophisticated equipment and independent personnel to run that equipment and do the analysis of the rate of production."
"I was able to have lunch with some of the principals in the company."
"I don't have a good grasp of the efficiency of the system, but I will say that the technology appears to me to be much more credible and feasible than most of the things we at NEC review out in the fringe of science."
Tom Beck, CEO and President of SHEC LABS said, "It is a great honor for our company to not only be selected in the top 100 renewable energy companies but to be rated #9 is a tribute to our technology and our commitment to produce a clean, renewable and cost effective source of energy. The world is starting to take notice that sustainable and renewable sources of energy are a must in our future."
