IOP Publishing, the publisher of The Fuel Cell Review, cites "a combination of tough advertising conditions in the fuel-cell market and a strategic realignment of its print and online publishing activities" as the basis for the decision.

Existing institutional and individual subscribers to the publication will be refunded any outstanding monies in January 2007. Advertisers will be similarly reimbursed for any unpublished slots that have been pre-paid. Unpublished advertisements will simply not be invoiced.
