Voller Energy Group PLC, which is a leader in portable fuel cell systems and one of the first companies in the world with deliverable technology, announces the appointment of Mark Tilley as a Marine Sales Specialist.

Most recently, Mark has been employed as European Sales Manager for Luhrs Marine with responsibility for their Hunter Range of sailboats across Europe. Prior to his role with Luhrs Marine, Mark was a retail sales manager with Dickies International, the largest Beneteau dealer in the world.

In April 2006, the Company announced a series of milestones leading to commercial availability of fuel cell auxiliary power units (APUs) for yachts, recreational vehicles, trucks and cabins by the end of 2007. These APUs have the advantage of working from widely available hydrocarbon fuels such as Calor Gas, propane or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Most other fuel cell systems require pure hydrogen, which is not yet commonly available.

Sailing yachts will be one of the first markets for the installation of these systems. The APU will automatically charge the batteries. Working quietly, without vibration, the APU will replace the need for noisy, smelly generators that have been the bane of yacht owners for many years.

Stephen Voller, CEO said, “Mark comes to us with a wealth of marine industry experience that will prove invaluable to Voller in bringing our products to the marine market.

“Mark’s role with Voller will see him developing partner relationships with leading yacht manufacturers and dealers around the world, as well as working hard to increase market awareness and understanding of this exciting new technology and the undoubted benefits it can bring to yachting.”
