FAIRBANKS, AK--A fuel cell being tested in Seward could prove useful in rural Alaska.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Arctic Energy Laboratory is analyzing data from the cell used to power facilities at the Exit Glacier Visitor's Center this summer.

Lab director Dennis Whitmer says the fuel cell is the first to be powered with propane for an extended period of time.
