| Mexico's electric
energy savings trust Fide reported it has signed a cooperation agreement
with the country's national hydrogen network (Red Nacional de Hidrogeno).
The agreement aims to promote the
development of hydrogen fuel cells as an alternative energy source, Fide
said in a statement.
Hydrogen fuel cells have the potential
to replace the internal combustion engine in vehicles and to provide power
in stationary and portable power applications because they are energy-efficient,
clean and fuel-flexible, according to the US Department of Energy.
