This progress marks the culmination of the first phase of HEC's plan to fill its distribution pipeline with its state-of-the-art line of engines and generator sets. HEC's products are focused on the industrial and distributed power markets.
HEC recently completed construction of operational and manufacturing facilities at its headquarters in Algona, Iowa. Along with new facilities, HEC has established a supply chain both domestically and from Asia.
HEC has a highly-regarded North American distribution network comprised of carefully selected and established engine distributors. These 10 distributors view HEC's Oxx Power(TM) engine products as a new solution for the industrial engine business.
HEC engineers have created significant advances in the area of hydrogen internal combustion engine and genset technology. HEC was incorporated on May 19, 2003 by Ted Hollinger, HEC's co-founder and president. He was former director of power conversion for the Ecostar Division of Ford Motor Company and former power conversion group vice president of Ballard Power Systems.
"We firmly believe that we must demonstrate efficient, scalable and repeatable manufacturing processes in order to be a reliable supplier to our markets," said Hollinger. "With the commencement of the shipment of our Oxx Power(TM) engines, we have done that."
"Building on this foundation, HEC plans to continue implementing advanced technology by powering engines with alternative fuel sources and continually improving engine efficiency and economics," Hollinger added. "HEC is also working to expand its manufacturing, sales and distribution capacity in order to maximize the opportunity for the expected growth and demand for alternative fuel power solutions."
