Schwetzingen and Luther House To Receive Fuel Cell Unit

EnBW and MVV energy plan to install a fuel cell unit in the City of Schwetzingen a fuel cell unit manufactured by european fuel cell GmbH (efc) in the Luther house.

The Schwetzinger fuel cell project is part of a country-wide program by EnBW for the promotion of  fuel cell technology. Since December 2001 EnBW has been operating 18 fuel cell power plants of different types with customers and partners.

Together with MVV energy the EnBW will operate and supervise the plant.

The plant installed in is a PEMFC “BETA 1,5 “efc unit. The fuel cell unit is attached to the existing Schwetzingen public utility supply of natural gas net of public utilities.
