S.C. Fuel Cell Research Center Adds Another Corporate Partner

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina’s Research Center for Fuel Cells has added another corporate partner.

Millennium Cell, which is based in New Jersey, will work with USC faculty and students to research hydrogen storage materials, boron chemistry and hydrogen battery systems.

The Fuel Cells center is supported by the National Science Foundation as well as corporate partners. Its purpose is to help commercialize fuel cell technology.

"Millennium Cell is pleased to join the USC Fuel Cell Research Center and work with this well-known group of companies that are partnering with USC researchers to develop innovative solutions for the advancement of commercial applications and deployment of hydrogen storage technologies," said David Ramm, Millennium Cell’s chief executive officer.

Other corporate partners include DANA Corporation, General Motors Corporation, Air Liquide, John Deere, ePower Technologies, Westinghouse Savannah River Co., BASF AG, Boeing and LG Electronics.
