DES PLAINES, Ill. -- HyRadix Inc., the leading provider of on-site hydrogen generation systems and supply solutions, announced today that it has been awarded the contract to supply a hydrogen fuel generation system to SunLine Transit Agency based in Thousand Palms, Calif. SunLine is the first public transit agency to launch a hydrogen generation facility and is focused on continuing advancements toward alternate fueled transportation.
The purchase of HyRadix's Adeo(TM) on-site hydrogen fuel generator will enable SunLine to meet its plans of increasing the size of its hydrogen bus fleet over the next few years. The new hydrogen generation system will be delivered and fully operational in July 2006.
"The commercial demand for hydrogen as a fuel will continue to rise due to its many benefits, and SunLine is proud to be at the forefront of using alternative fuels which provide economic and environmental benefits throughout this region," said Mikel Oglesby, SunLine General Manager.
"HyRadix is pleased to provide our reliable and proven Adeo hydrogen generation system to SunLine. We look forward to continuing to be a part of the efforts in leading the field in hydrogen-fueled transportation," said HyRadix CEO and President Robert L. Gray, Jr. "Applications for on-site hydrogen production are increasing in a variety of industries, and our proprietary technology and systems are meeting this demand globally."
HyRadix will install the Adeo system in less than two months at the Thousand Palms facility, which meets SunLine's immediate requirements for additional on-site hydrogen production. HyRadix will provide service to maintain the unit for six years.
