   Nuvera Fuel Cells to break ground on new HQ

Nuvera Fuel Cells will break ground on a new 111,000-square-foot facility is being built at the Rivertech Office Park.

The fuel cell development company recently announced it would move its headquarters to the Rivertech Office Park in Billerica at 129 Concord Road. The decision was the result of a two-year, multistate search.

The buiding, designed by Margulies & Associates, will include 40,000 square feet of office space, 19,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 20,000 square feet of lab space. The rest will be dedicated to a training center, cafe, gym and common areas.

The site is owned by Boston-based New Boston Fund Inc., a private real estate, investment and development firm. Cushman & Wakefield of Massachusetts Inc. represented the tenant and the landlord in the lease transaction.

Nuvera Fuel Cells, which has offices in Italy and the United States, began searching for new space about two years ago. The growing company now leases 56,000 square feet at Cambridge's
