DS
Trade and Industry - employers' association in the metallic industries
in Denmark - have awarded H2 Logic the DS Environment & Energy Prize
2006.
H2 Logic received the prize for being
the leading company in the development of hydrogen and fuel cell technology.
The prize was handed over to H2 Logic by chairman of DS Trade and Industry,
Jim Stjerne Hansen, at the environmental and energy fair, DanMiljø
in Herning.
H2 Logic was chosen as the Prize
winner among several nominated Danish companies, by an individual jury.
The Prize is a sculpture by the artist Keld Mosehold. The sculpture shows
five persons that in a shared effort shape a piece of metal into a beautiful
arc in contrast to the surroundings; an image of the H2 Logic efforts in
the energy business.
Together with the prize followed
much admiration and many credit statements from a number of VIP's in Denmark:
"We never doubted that the DS Environment
& Energy Prize 2006 should be awarded to H2 Logic, which is leading
the development of hydrogen and fuel cell technology. The company has developed
Europe's first batch produced hydrogen vehicle. H2 Logic shows the entire
industry, that not alone is it possible, but also worth the trouble to
think innovative. The success of H2 Logic have great importance and inspiration
for other companies in the industry" says chairman of DS Trade and Industry,
Jim Stjerne Hansen.
"In the beginning we called you for
the "clever" boys from HIBAT (Herning Institute of Business Administration
Technology). Today you are a professional innovation company, which we
appreciate very much in the county of Ringkjøbing. said County Mayor
Knud Munk Nielsen that is one of the main drivers behind Ringkjøbing
County's well-known and successfully early venture for hydrogen technology.
As many counties in Denmark are merging
into larger regions, efforts are put on establishing a new Hydrogen Development
Program in the coming Region Midtjylland, in order to support the many
hydrogen innovation efforts in the area.
"It has great brand and marketing
value for the city of Herning, that the leading hydrogen technology company
is placed in the city" says Lars Krarup mayor in Herning, one of the most
active cities in Denmark on the hydrogen area.
The H2 Logic company humbly receives
the DS Environment & Energy Prize 2006 and promise to continue the
development of the hydrogen and fuel cell technology.
"I see the price as an appreciation
of the many efforts our company and employees daily provide in developing
the clean and sustainable hydrogen energy solution for the future" states
Jesper Boisen from H2 Logic.
