KAPOLEI, HI -- Hoku Scientific, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOKU), a designer, developer and manufacturer of membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) and membranes for proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells, today announced that Dustin Shindo, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer, will present at the 34th Annual SG Cowen Technology Conference on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. The conference will take place at the New York Palace Hotel.

The presentation will begin at 3:05 p.m. Eastern Time/12:05 p.m. Pacific Time, and will be made available over the Internet via live webcast.
