Malvern, PA--John Law, President and CEO of Franklin Fuel Cells, the three-year-old SOFC technology company located in suburban Philadelphia, will be one of three prominent CEOs of highly-regarded fuel cell companies asked to open the second day of seminars tomorrow at the FuelCellSouth 2006 event. The others are Same Logan, CEO of LOGANEnergy, and Roger Saillant, CEO of Plug Power. The announcement was made by the event’s organizers.

FuelCellSouth 2006, the premiere regional fuel-cell event, will be held in Columbia, South Carolina, April 24-26. Law, Logan, and Saillant will be on stage to open the second day of the seminars at the annual fuel cell conference and exhibition. They will discuss the fuel cell market in North America and give their takes on the directions it’s heading. The breakfast discussion will be moderated by Bob Rose, Executive Director of the U.S. Fuel Cell Council.

Franklin is unique among all SOFC technology companies because it is the only fuel-cell technology company to offer patented, proprietary Copper-Ceria anode technology that can enable operation of an SOFC directly on heavy hydrocarbon fuels containing Sulfur, without the problems common to the traditional Nickel-anode SOFC, as well as without the need for de-sulfurization or POX reformers. Franklin’s proprietary technology has moved ever closer to commercialization by delivering unmatched fuel flexibility - with provable, demonstrable results - on everything from 93-octane pump gas and kerosene to virtually every hydrocarbon fuel available today. Therefore, Franklin’s technology offers a smooth and continuous transition from fossil fuels to bio-fuels, and on to hydrogen.

FuelCellSouth 2006 is being held at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Those interested may access information and the online registration procedure at www.fuelcellsouth.com
