BURLINGTON, ON-- Alternate Energy Corporation (OTC BB:ARGY.OB) announced today that it has filed an additional provisional patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on its proprietary production process by which it can economically produce pure hydrogen and a second commercially saleable commodity chemical product that when combined with the first, is expected to open up a multi-billion dollar worldwide market to the Company.
On November 14, 2005, the Company announced the filing of its first provisional patent in connection with its proprietary process of producing pure hydrogen and its first saleable commodity chemical product. These continuing developments have strengthened AEC's revised business model to produce bulk hydrogen for a wide spectrum of commercial applications at stationary customer sites, while also producing commodity chemical products.
Mr. Blaine Froats, Chairman & CEO of AEC, stated, "We are pleased with our progress in the development and refinement of our hydrogen production technology, and to inform our shareholders of this latest provisional patent application. We believe that this second commodity chemical product has a significant potential worldwide market. The ongoing improvement in our hydrogen production technology not only allows us to increase the efficiency of hydrogen production, but also gives us the ability to produce two broadly used chemical commodity products."
Mr. Froats commented further, "The recent international focus on anticipated worldwide oil and gas shortages in years to come has caused many energy companies to focus on hydrogen as a possible major replacement for petroleum as the primary driver of the energy economy. Since our proprietary technology permits the generation of hydrogen from water through a 'green' process at a competitive level to the fossil fuel cost of energy per BTU, we believe our systems can have a revolutionary impact on the energy industry."
