Most recently, Mr. Werderman was President and CEO of ReliOn Inc., a private U.S. based developer of fuel cell systems, where he made major in-roads in marketing emergency and backup power solutions to the telecom industry. Prior to joining ReliOn, Mr. Werderman was President of IBUS/Phoenix, Inc., a subsidiary of Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL), an international developer of energy storage and power delivery systems. IBUS/Phoenix developed and manufactured high-reliability applied computer and power quality systems for the telecommunications industry.
"John has great experience in the fuel cell industry and an intimate knowledge of how new energy technologies are introduced to existing and new markets," said Pierre Rivard, President and CEO of Hydrogenics Corporation. "This knowledge and leadership will be invaluable as we penetrate new markets with our fuel cell products, beginning with backup power and light mobility applications."
Mr. Werderman received his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management and his bachelors degree in accounting from Walton College.
