   Case Western receives funding to advance advance hydrogen fuel-cell technology

Case Western Reserve University will receive $600,000 from the U.S. Department of Energy to advance hydrogen fuel-cell technology. 

The department accepted two proposals from Case to research polymer membranes. 

The goal will be to develop a fuel cell that is less expensive and more durable.

The department had $23.75 million to divvy among groups that research fuel cells.
