In this two-year project EMTEC is developing and implementing a set of tools to strengthen the role of Ohio companies in the Fuel Cell Supply Chain. These tools include building and maintaining a searchable online database identifying Ohio companies capable of being suppliers of fuel cell materials and components.

As part of the service EMTEC offers a "Fuel Cell Request Hotline" that enables non-Ohio fuel cell manufacturers to locate qualified suppliers of fuel cell components and materials within the state as well as assisting in-state companies to identify potential opportunities in the supply chain. 

Data development is achieved by identifying major fuel cell subsystems, components and materials as a function of fuel cell type and then linking this information with existing fuel cell suppliers and with related industries which could supply such products. 

The database also incorporates expertise and other information from Ohio’s key universities and research centers. 

The Ohio Fuel Cell Supply Chain database is accessible from EMTEC’s website (www.emtec.org/fuelcells). The Fuel Cell Request Hotline is operational and also available to Ohio’s fuel cell related industries through this website.
