A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was inked in Dubai to take the year long cooperation between S.S. Lootah Group and Hydrogenics to a new strategic level. The agreement focuses on promoting the Fuel Cell Power Modules, associated equipment and commercially viable Fuel Cell applications that cater to many industries in the Middle East region.

'IEG has been formed with the objective of promoting and accelerating the adoption of clean energy sources to supplement conventional energy sources worldwide, we will continue to introduce commercially viable advanced energy technologies and applications for many industrial, business and government sectors' said Eng. 'The UAE has all the necessary drivers for fuel cell and hydrogen adoption as well as many other growing economies in the region. Pierre Rivard, President and CEO of Hydrogenics Corporation proposed a Hydrogen Oasis in the a UAE during his speech at the advanced energy seminar, organized by S.S. Lootah Group in Dubai last September. He argued that the UAE could be the Largest Hydrogen Energy Technology deployment in the world making it one step beyond California's Hydrogen Highway, Toronto's Hydrogen Village, and Taj Mahal Hydrogen Fleet, all projects that carry the signature of Hydrogenics.

The Fuel Cell applications engineered by Hydrogenics, vary in size and cater for different industry needs from transportation to the zero-emission Fuel Cell NEV's Neighborhood Electric Vehicles, with Air-conditioning to Data Server Rooms , hotels, resorts, airports and golf courses.
