Project received news this week that five members of the team have had
presentations accepted to the largest hydrogen conference in the world.
Next year's National Hydrogen Association
conference will be held at Long Beach, California, from 12th-16th March.
Comprising world leaders in hydrogen
technologies, the annual conference attracts academic, research and technological
experts from a variety of fields and nationalities. Topics represented
include storage, safety, production and various applications of hydrogen.
Having submitted papers covering
a variety of topics to the conference organisers, Robin Duncan, Daniel
Aklil, Sandy Macaulay, David Sutherland and Ross Gazey have all received
notification of their acceptance.
Mr Duncan and Mr Macaulay have been
requested to address the conference from the podium at peak times, while
Mr Gazey, Mr Sutherland and Mr Aklil are all due to present findings from
a dedicated PURE stand for all interested to discuss individually.
In addition to next year's conference,
organisers of the World Sustainable Energy Day 2006 have shown considerable
interest in PURE, inviting representatives to attend a conference in Wels,
Austria, between the 1st-3rd March.
Mr Macaulay said the news of acceptance
to next year's events "provides us with the reassurances that what we are
doing is the subject of international interest".
Mr Duncan and Mr Aklil have also
successfully completed the world's only hydrogen safety training course,
from Hydrogen Safety, LLC, Connecticut. This places them among only 30
people worldwide, including Mr Gazey, who have completed the course.
