| BURNABY, BC--QuestAir
Technologies Inc. (AIM: QAR; TSX: QAR) announced today that it has received
an order from Hydrogenics Corporation for a H-3200 hydrogen purifier to
be installed at a hydrogen fueling station at the Korea Gas research and
development facility in Incheon, South Korea.
The KOGAS-tech (Korean Gas Technology
Corporation) station will generate hydrogen fuel from natural gas. The
station will be capable of producing sufficient hydrogen to refuel approximately
20 fuel cell powered vehicles.
QuestAir's H-3200 will purify hydrogen
produced from natural gas, and will be integrated into a hydrogen generation
and compression package supplied by Hydrogenics Corporation. This sale
brings to 10 the number of units that QuestAir has placed in hydrogen refueling
station applications.
Jonathan Wilkinson, President and
CEO of QuestAir said that this hydrogen station is the first in Asia outside
of Japan to use QuestAir's PSA technology. "We are extremely pleased that
QuestAir's H-3200 hydrogen purifier is to be included in this station,
the first of its kind in Korea," Wilkinson said.
QuestAir's H-3200 purifies gas streams
containing hydrogen to high-purity hydrogen for use in industrial processes,
hydrogen fueling stations and stationary fuel cell power plants. The H-3200's
optimized Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) process and proprietary rotary
valve technology deliver higher efficiency than conventional PSA systems
in a more compact, cost-effective package. Since the product launch in
2003, QuestAir has sold more than 30 H-3200 systems to customers in Europe,
Japan and North America.
