LUCERNE, Switzerland-- Ismeca Automation, acquired by the Komax Group in April 2005, has landed a major order worth CHF 14 million. The client is an Israel-based company that applies cutting-edge technology to the production of power packs.

Ismeca Automation, a member of the Komax Group, has signed a major contract totaling CHF 14 million with an Israeli client for the construction of an automated assembly line, that consists of six major assembly modules including test zones.

The completed assembly line, which is scheduled to be delivered in December 2006, will be used to manufacture an entirely new generation of power packs, fuel cells that can be used to charge portable electronic devices such as mobile phones.

The main advantages of the latest power pack products are the small size of the cells, their tremendous power capacity and the fact that they do not lose energy prior to first use.

Serge Peguiron, Head of Ismeca Automation, was visibly delighted to receive this order in view of the highly innovative aspects of the technology involved. Depending on the success of the product, follow-on orders can be expected.
