Chennai--MR R. Seshasayee, Vice-President, Confederation of Indian Industry and Managing Director, Ashok Leyland Ltd, today cautioned the Indian automotive industry against ending up on the wrong side of the emerging "hydrogen divide."

Speaking at the valedictory function of the 'International Mobility Engineering Congress & Exposition', which is an event to showcase India's technology in the automotive field held by SAE India, Mr Seshasayee observed that hydrogen powered vehicles could well rule the market in the coming years.

He said that the Indian automotive industry should familiarise itself with hydrogen technology and should try to gain leadership position in at least some aspects of it
