Avista Labs to become ReliOn

Publication date: 23-Feb-2004
Source: Press Release: Journal Of Business

Avista Labs, a Spokane developer and marketer of fuel cells that provide back-up power to telecommunications, utility, and government users, said today it will change its name to ReliOn effective March 22, when it will participate in a major wireless-communications trade show. It said the name change reflects its commitment to provide reliable back-up power, and it\'s also changing its name partly because in a round of financing last year it became an independent privately-held corporation, and no longer is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avista Corp., its founder and former parent.
