   MTI Micro to Present at Ninth Grove Fuel Cell Symposium

ALBANY, N.Y.-- Dr. Shimshon Gottesfeld, Chief Technology Officer of MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc. (MTI Micro), the developer of the award-winning Mobion(TM) micro fuel cell technology and a subsidiary of Mechanical Technology Incorporated (Nasdaq: MKTY), is scheduled to present at the Ninth Grove Fuel Cell Symposium which will take place October 4-6, 2005 at the Queen Elizabeth II Center, London UK.

Dr. Shimshon Gottesfeld is a keynote speaker at the opening session on Thursday, October 6th at 9:05 a.m. (BST). His presentation will focus on the development and technical advancements of direct methanol fuel cells and will highlight the advantages of Mobion(TM) technology for future portable power applications.
