Technology, developer of fuel cell systems based on using semiconductor
design and manufacturing, is changing its name to ClearEdge Power.
"ClearEdge Power better reflects
what our company is all about, " said CEO Gregg Semler. "While we still
believe that we are quantum leaps ahead in clean, reliable and affordable
electrical power generation, we felt that ClearEdge Power more closely
expresses our company's leadership in using semi-conductor manufacturing
processes to drive down costs for clean, reliable power."
Hillsboro-based ClearEdge Power is
now building a variety of strategic relationships to become a profitable
participant in the fuel cell market through the production and distribution
of silicon based fuel cell systems that are clean, quiet and low cost.
While the name is new, the mission
is not, Semler said. ClearEdge Power is developing fuel cell systems for
premium and back-up power markets.
